Windsurfing: Hunstanton Wind Direction: SSW Wind Stength: 10-14 Surf / Sea State: Flatty Air Temperature: 21 Sea Temperature: Weather: Sunny Max Speed: 12.1 mph (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered:
Never been to Hunstanton before so was always gonna be good fun whatever
happened. Left home at 6:30am and got there about 8:20am. Spent a while
checkin it out then rigged me 6m storm. By this time tide was about
halfway out and it was quite a long walk (compared to reservoir lol). And
it was sandy too hurrah. Nice to see bogs and even a shower there, not to
mention the reserved parking for windsurf/kitefurf - spot on. Didn't even
have to pay parking cause some kitesurfer gave me his ticket (thanks
mate!!). Onto the sailing. Nice and shallow, too shallow in places at low
tide lol. Great for beach start practising and prob waterstart practise as
well though I didn't try any waterstarts. When I first went out I was
planing but then the wind seemed to drop then off to a bob around level.
Mind you my kit wasn't set up right, was tryin different things with it
just couldn't get it right didn't feel right. Must admit though it was
nice to have fairly constant wind rather than gust/lull what I am used to.
Left before the water came in to the groynes about 13:15. Good session,
and it was free (apart from petrol). Prob worth the journey though instead
of payin £15 locally at reservoir. Only give it 3 stars cause needed more
wind. Got my top speed of the year 12.1mph.
